There is no real threat to wandering. The mini-game sucks as its too arcade mode. At least come up with a more believable way to hunt other than sound spawning.
And then I happen to run into a bear where ever I go. Have enough bear to last me a month.
Bears & Wolves are still in game without the Hunt Event. Not sure where you got the No Bear answear from but it is not correct.
I just find the new hunting thing to be such a waste of time. I've had to increase the time you're allowed because the stupid sounds the clue makes will sound off once, and then I never hear it again. If you're gonna do this bs hunting mechanic, at least give the "focus mode" an actual sound indicator at high levels of awareness. The clue often does NOT match the direction the animal goes. I've had it tell me the animal went south, yet south is off a cliff, there's no way the animal went that way. How am I supposed to track something that flew off into narnia?
It's fine to say this is a performance issue for multiplayer, but why not give us single player players actual animals? I get that dividing the code base means harder maintenance but surely there has to be a way to compromise.
Thank you for your feedback, we will see if we can create a system you can modify more to your liking.
bears and wolves are both in the new system and still random spawn
SW mostly, A4, A3, B4, B3, etc.
For the most part, it is a lot more efficient to develop a game one size fits all and that is what they are doing...the single player and the multiplayer versions of the game are almost identical in all aspects.
Nobody on our servers are having issues with getting the minigame for hunting to work!
Once they understand how it works!

Just found it odd that the bear sounded like it was on top of me, even growling and I didn't get attacked or charged.
That's the most annoying thing about the new hunting. I have chickens going off constantly that sound like they're right next to me, but the clue is miles away. The sounds are so loud.
Never said I couldn't get it to work, I said it's a waste of f'n time. If I can hear a chicken, I'm not gonna waste my time squinting my eyes looking for some stupid footprints in the dirt. If I wanted that experience I'd play hunter call of the wild.
Youtube and live streams made SCUM look a lot more interesting than what it is. As of right now I'm yet to see it's any better than DayZ. Hell, SCUM doesn't even have broken legs or sickness from drinking dirty water. So as of right now, DayZ is technically better. Not to mention if I see a chicken in DayZ, I can punch that chicken and eat it.
If it didn't take more than 2 hours (steam's limit) to realise scum isn't the game for me, I'd refund it. But I'm stuck with it, so you're stuck with my complaints.
We're sorry you're having a bad experience but at least we know our chickens are safe if they come across you.
This will come in the future, we will have blunt injuries and many more metabolism effects added. This is just the current state of the game. We will have different kinds of poisoning and many stuff like that, just can't really share much.
Hopefully you can be patient enough until the full release (1.0.)
For me, its over after over 5300 hours. I cancelled my servers and stopped playing.
My last hope for a good Scum game is Mod support.
