How to open airdrops?

Hello, i'm new (bought game 4 days ago), and i've seen in a video that we need lockpicks to open the drop, with the lockpicking ability to average. But i can't open it even with all that. Why?

Hello :),

In order to open a cargo drop you need above all the tool for it. Screwdrivers and lockpicks are required.
Screwdrivers can be found in two types, the small red ones and the black/yellow large ones, and they differ in the number of charges. The small one has 3 charges and the large one has 40.

Lockpicks can be found in 2 versions, a 4-charge lockpick and an extended 6-charge lockpick, but you can also make your own lockpicks using bobby pins and paperclips. This is usually cheaper and quicker to do.

The lockpicking ability can definitely help you, however the cargo drop lockers are not as difficult as player locks or locks in kill boxes. Here you can practice well even if you are just a beginner.

Stand up or get yourself some lockpicks and screwdrivers, then you can pick the locks to get to the contents.

A final alternative is crowbars. If you have a crowbar, you can even break open lockers, but be careful as this will damage the contents.

Like Deathwhisper stated, the right tools are the key, and practicing.
When I started picking locks, the available 10s weren't enough.
Now, after having picked quite a number of locks, I can do it in <5s, even on a bad day.
And, IMO, the actual level of lockpicking skills is not really that important.

with a crowbar it takes about a minute to open a locked box, and it usually damages the crowbar so try and find 2 or bring a toolbox or make one, as for the damage to items usually the damage is low enough that fixing it all isn`t a problem, but spending 6 minutes opening lock boxes is a risk especially on medium to high pop servers, and if you are desperate the lock boxes do open at the end, but you will have 30 seconds before it blows up and that includes running far enough away to survive the big bang, i have managed to open 2 boxes and loot them and then run far enough to survive but you really do have to be quick, good luck.

If your feeling brave...... when the timer hits 2 minutes all lockers unlock and you have a few seconds to loot as many as you feel you can AND get a safe distance away to survive the detonation... so are you feelin lucky ?

It is only 25 seconds left they unlock, I can't believe I have already seen 2 wrong answers in this post..... if your quick you can loot 3 lockers, maybe 4 if your being very selective on loot, then run like hell...lol

It is only 25 seconds left they unlock, I can't believe I have already seen 2 wrong answers in this post..... if your quick you can loot 3 lockers, maybe 4 if your being very selective on loot, then run like hell...lol

well when i started playing 5 years ago it wasnt, so it is " new "

this is simple to fix, you answer every question posed on the forums and i answer none, problem solved
