I found this is how it gets damaged.
Still testing the side windows, it seems at this stage, no damage when shooting through them, the door windows.
Ok, that explains it! Thank you ;)
Joking aside, this can happen in 2 ways, firstly, as Mason says, by being shot at from the inside. The bodywork is damaged here.
But it can also happen due to external fire or ricochets. For example, the day before yesterday I almost shot a tire because of the ricochets.
Guess I gotta be less reckless then.
Again, learned something today ;b
But you can damage the base vehicle, doors, hood, trunk lid and tires by shooting (from the inside or the outside).
This damages the door, but there is no visible damage indicator.
Once a certain damage level is reached, the door will just disappear.
She was fine @ 100% the last few days. The battery starts to discharge if you don't use it, right.
Although that's something that can be toggled in the settings. I just left in on. ;)
I just didn't know about damage from shooting out of the thing. ;)
