vanilla loot should be scarce, it can always be increased in settings if desired.
I found 3 of those bows in 1 armory room, go figure.
I personally am gathering stacks of bolts before I'll encounter a single nail. Eventually, after enough time not being able to gather resources beyond what I can carry, I'll find a box of nails. Stupid game play.
Can we be adults and just admit that RNG is not a difficulty? Getting a smooth start being so heavily dependent on RNG is NOT an expression of skill.
I'm not keeping close tabs on the game's development but I must have missed the memo as to what the point of this game is because from my point of view, there is nothing in this game that requires any element to survive. Nothing. I played the other week on a 0.5x loot server. I never came close to starving. It was just tedious.
Other players are supposed to be that threat, but each patch I cannot help feel like its harder and harder to a) find them, and b) land in and gear up without sinking an entire evening before I get to shoot a gun
On the other hand, I've had decent luck with the nails, even playing on an Official Hardcore server.
Check the castle in B3, good loot for archers up there now.
Good call on the castle, was heading that way and it paid dividends. Picked up a 50# bow and a set of metal broadheads, ty :)
