So let's get with the slider, so when you put it on 1 that means an ingame day will last full 24hrs real time. Default is 3.84 set by us. It is 3.84, weird number you would say, because of the feedback we got from the community. A lot of players work let's say 9 to 5 and when they got home and have scheduled play time would always find themselves playing at the same time of day ingame. By tweaking it the time of day constantly changes incrementally for the average joe. As for weeds, as long as you don't treat your garden with herbicide you will be prone to getting weeds in your garden. And you need engineering skill medium and above to upgrade higher than wood.
Yes, if you increase the Slider time will go faster and thus days become way shorter. 3.84 Means a Scum day is 6,25h Real life time.
However, the max aviable Speed is 12 so 2h RL time. If you want to make Days last shorter you also can change the Sunrise and Sunset times. Between Sunrise and Sunset is daytime, between sunset and sunrise is nighttime.
This setting will make Days extremly short as only 4h ingame time will be daytime due to the Sunrise and Sunset Times.
It's "game-hours-per-real-hour", so if you want 24 game hours to pass in 1 real hour, set it to 24*.
(Default is 6h15m per in-game day)
Edit: *theoretically, didn't know about the 12h cap
I tried herbicide, and I had the same effect like evil monk, alltough I read it lasts 10 days RT somewhere, which is obviously a lie. Perhaps it is buigged?
