how many chests can i have buried all over the map without setting a flag and not having a base?

Hello :),

As far as i know there is no Limitation. However, you will need to maintain any chests you place around the island otherwise they will despawn after the timer runs out.

I lost one of the two chests buried next to each other within a radius of one meter. The wooden chest disappeared, the metal one remained. There were still more than 10 days left on the timer.

There is a bug about chests disappearing when the first timer ends.
Better to craft another before that time and move the stuff to the new one.

What do you mean by "first timer"?
Time since the chest was created?

Yes, no matter whay you do it seems that the chest despawn after first check of the maintain timer. Even if you maintain it by the F-menu, unbury-rebury, move item in and out of it, move it around, etc.

So many suggested that it's better to craft another one and move all the stuff to new one, before first despawn timer ends.

I'm just reporting suggestions and workarounds you can find here on forum.

Thank you for the explanation.. I'm getting tired of this game constantly losing my property due to bugs. In almost one and a half thousand hours, I was killed and robbed only twice! At the same time, now I have: no transport, no gold card, no base (due to the wipe), no firearms, no body armor, only one buried chest remains, and the one with scrap metal remains... :( Is it possible to look at the list somewhere of all the bugs of the game, in order to protect yourself at least partially from such disorders in the future? Because already from my own experience, I can give a list of 5-10 fatal bugs in this game :)

That's que situation with Early Access games, brother. I have more than 3k hours and I always keep that in mind when something bad occurs.

The best line of thinking to have fun now is to do not attach your hopes to any item in game. I lost a bow in v0.4 in C3 that until today I still stop to look to the ground when I pass by that place, like if I will find it there, LOL!

To be true, at least for me as a lone wolf gamer, the fear of losing everything is a constant in the game and it is what makes me keep coming back at it. While TEC1 isn't a treat, Gamepires is, in the game's bugs.
