Report a translation problem
If illegal activity is taking place or is observed, it is always most helpful to report it so that it can be investigated.
See Here how best to do this.
Reporting these incidents is the greatest help as there is already a lot that can be done thanks to logs.
I know of one cheat that I recorded and sent to the devs that they were able to code out it's ability to work.
Regardless of which game it is any multiplayer game will have it's cheaters. Some more than others.
Scum is in alpha, the code is still being written for even the basics to be added in to it.
The devs have said a deeper effort can be done in the future once the basic code is done. Too many things are being changed atm which might break their own ability to anticheat.
The devs also have said they are working on their own anticheat system-so these reports can assist in that process also!
Some questions:
Were those 3 boxes bought or crafted.
If crafted were they crafted on a foundation.
Was that foundation there in that base or a different location.
There is a bug that if you craft a chest on a foundation and then later on that foundation gets *destroyed* or *upgraded* the chest that were built on it go poof!
All crafted chests need to be crafted on the ground then moved until that bug gets solved!
But cheating is a problem, a bad one that has caused most of my squad to quit playing.
The worst offenders being the guys that go around the map flying. That was apparently seen and reported just days ago on Official East 1
In 99% of the time reports are to late! Squads spending hours for grinding gear, building base, finding car + parts, for some1 who can destroy all that in 10min beeing offline.
I get this is EA, you are building your game, you are trying to make it more and more fun....not always....most of the time. But as it's been said, when your playing this game and you sink alot of time into it and then suddenly everything you have worked on for weeks...months even, is ruined in a single moment by someone using cheats it is a real mood killer.
When you get raided or killed or whatever in a PVP game you have to accept it....its part of the game play, and you should enjoy really, it's content. If you don't enjoy the game play of the chance at loss then PVP isnt for you.
But when you lose your base, gear, vehicle, ect because someone is cheating and are simply told "It's EA" constantly it really sucks and its demoralizing to where you just dont wanna bother playing the game anymore.
This is exactly what happen to my group a few weeks ago. They all started playing CONAN. I didn't want to but I wanted to hang with my boys so I did, and it was just constantly hackers and cheaters until we gave up, the Dev team for that game to the credit of the SCUM DEV TEAM didn't even answer our cheater report for 3 weeks and even then gave us a copy paste report that didn't even include the correct info we gave them.
As for losses through bugs....I mean I get it, EA....bug happens...Im alittle more forgiving when it comes to Bugs.
Here's a fun video of BIG AL coming to pick me up in our fully kitted out Wolfwagon 2 seasons ago and losing a buncha gear. BIG AL wasn't happy about losing it all and the devs being like "It's EA" but we let it go. IT wasn't until later when we got our base destroyed by a exploiting cheater that we quit that season

we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns regarding cheating and the overall gameplay experience in our game. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continuously strive to improve the game and create a fair and enjoyable environment for all players.
We understand that dealing with cheaters can be frustrating and impact the integrity of the game. Cheating is a challenge that many online games face, and we are committed to addressing this issue to the best of our ability. Our development team is actively working on enhancing our anti-cheat measures and collaborating with various security experts to minimize the presence of cheaters in the game.
In the meantime please whenever you encounter a cheater, or a suspicious activity in general, head over to https://support.scumgame.com/ and open a ticket, each and every report is manually investigated and handled. Players that are found to be using cheats always receive a ban hammer.
Have you seen any cheats that are specific for SCUM? For instance, a cheat where a player could locate another player's blueprints or see where Chests are buried? Or are the cheaters just using the same standard of cheats that exist in every game?
Just one example:
I already had the "great" experience of getting banned just because someone thought I was cheating.
A call for investigation took place and resulted in a Serious Issue for the developers of the software in question:
1. Not only was the reaction too quick, it wasn't investigated at all. The ban was not only unjustified but also invalid.
2. Due to the way it happened, compensation had to be made.
3. Measures had to be taken against the executing admin.
4. Loss of reputation for the developers because nothing weighs more heavily than an unjustified ban against an innocent person.
Exactly something like that shouldn't happen during investigations. Just because someone has skill doesn't necessarily mean they're a cheater. You can't get banned just because of skills. These are things that must be taken into account in order to ensure a proper and correct process. However, it is precisely for this reason that it is important to make a report and to check the report so that it can be followed up and acted correctly, because in addition to ability, there are unfortunately black sheep.
"Cheating" is often talked about so highly these days because skill and talent are proclaimed as "cheating". So good players are reported in the same way as black sheep. This significantly increases the number of reports.
I said something like, "Whoah, it's not cool to throw accusations around in chat, just report it" before joining an event to see it with my own eyes. He's not even attempting to hide it. Is two weeks a reasonable amount of time for an "investigation"? I was pissed after 48 hours and now I'm just giving up hope. I don't think you investigate reports. I don't believe you.
That video of the dev giving a streamer a cheaters head seems like propaganda.
If Cheaters were saying: 'hello i am a cheater', we could report something... but when we are victim of cheaters, it is when we are not logged.... At least the stuff should be secure when we are not online.... But this report is exactly what I felt and the reason why i dont play scum for the time being... until things are getting better.... maybe one day...
