Next to resting on a bed, chair or other means of resting you can reduce the exhaustion with food and especially good meals which are done by cooking. Meals will also give you information on how much they will regenerate. Take your time and cook a good meal, During the cooking time lay down and rest or perform non exhausting activitys.
Take a look at your healt/Metabolism tab and search for the Perofrmance Score entry. The higher the Performance score, the less is the burden on your character. If you take a break and want to relax take off any not needed equipment like rifles, backpack etc so there is no burden on your character, prepare a meal, do some maintainance during the cooking time and after done cooking, eat and do a short break do digest the meal and reduce effectively the exhaustion.
If you mean a bed roll, yes, it should. It is still time dependent, so if you're logging out and right back in it won't have had much effect. Keep in mind you don't have any serious exhaustion until it hits C2. C1 is basically just to tell you you're working toward it.
If you log out on a bed or bed roll and log in the next IRL day and your character is still exhausted something is definintely up. You might post what server you're on in that case.
This is, indeed, off. I usually use my cot at my base and by the time I log back on any exhaustion I had is gone. It's possible, I suppose, that the mattress isn't set as an item that functions for exhaustion. You might get the coordinates for the mattress and the server you're on in case the devs want to check.
You did well here...not only did you post about something not working, you found the solution and posted that also.
This will help any player not already aware now understand the mechanism-congrats!
another reason why i now only play in single player, i turn exhaustion off for me personally it adds nothing useful to the game and spoils my enjoyment, scum should be fun or why play it.
We have moved on to other games that are far more forgiving with our time. They do not look as good, there is not as much to do, no where near the amount of awesome gear, but they offer a solid day of non stop enjoyment for the days we choose to give up to game together. This is no longer a game, instead it is a very unrealistic simulator. Hopefully you guys finish this soon and do allow mod support so we can roll everything back to when it was enjoyable.
There were some real good times, exciting nights defending our base and the chases that took us from Z to D. I thank you for that. Unfortunately the direction you are going with this project is now far less fun and a lot more work. Not everything needs or should have to be micro managed(IMO and those of my friends). Again I thank you for the opportunity to play what was one of the best titles I've been fortunate enough to play and I wish the entire team the best of luck and good health.
Cheers
There's a lot of sense in here. Big +1.
