I thought they said the weapon camo dlc was going to be added free to the game and now it's paid dlc, I might be the only one confused by this idk.

Hello :),

There was no statement about Free weapon camo patterns, however, you still can paint your weapons without the DLC by finding the respective Spraycan colours and apply them to the weapon.
the DLC themself offer different Options for the Optics in form of skins.

I believe they said that there is a Option for everyone regardless if they buy the DLC..... Basicly the Base Color Change and Spray Cans are in the Game for everyone...so you could make your Weapon Green,Brown or Pink or any Color you like..... Full Body.... But if you want any kind of "pattern" you buy the DLC basicly.....

Which to be Fair, i find a bit lackluster....would be nice if they at least shift the "Supporter Pack Paterns" to Free DLC, so every player regardless of Income has a little bit to Play around with.....

I also think that would be a way better Promoting Factor, if i see the IG combinations with 2 Paterns i got, i start to use and like them more likely and therefore get more hooked onto the DLC.

Would there maybe a Chance you guys change or would discuss to give 1 or 2 Free Patern for Players aswell? Like i Mentioned i think it would really help to promote that and sell the DLC aswell as just make Player feel a bit Happier and Appreciated, even if they dont wanna or cant spend more Money as for the Base Game? ^^

If you could link that source it would be extremely great by proving your point here because I don't remember that that was said.

Also the apology was stated because in the patch notes all the information about the DLC and the previous supporter packs was forgotten to be said, they were explained in the hotfix notes with the apology as well. So please don't use the apology for something it wasn't meant for.

If anything should be allowed to be paid DLC, it is cosmetics. A solid green rifle will hide just as well as a very busy, small-blotched green camo pattern. This is just a way to flex. Of course, you can gift a DLC to a friend if you're that low on cash. This is a good way to support the developers.

As for new patterns, French CCE, Norwegian M/98, bear claw gun camo pattern, Rhodesian Brush Stroke, British DPM, Italian Vegetato, USMC T-Block camo, Berezka, Klmk, WW2 USMC Leaf pattern camo, African Ghana Immigration Border Forces Leopard Camo, Philippine/Filipino PSA (urban camo pattern made of rectangles) are patterns I would pay for.

A word on how the patterns should be painted across surfaces: For the most part, blotches should be arranged perpendicular or diagonally across the length of the surface to break of the item's outline. If they run along the length of the surface they do much less to camo a surface.

Also, it would be cool if we could paint uniforms and vehicles this way.
