The small electricity generator

So, for how long is it supposed to last if left running? Fully fueled. 24h? 72?

I got it running for around two days, then you should refuel the thing.

Hey :),

Thats a good question, i never really used them for long time and they only serve the moment i need them for Ovens or portable cooking plates.

The reason I'm asking is, because when you use the small battery charger to charge your batteries - the batteries gives the info something like 10-12h until fully charged.
Yesterday I timestamped in admin chat, when I fully fueled my generator, and turned on both the gen and the charger. So I left it charging starting at 12:23 PM

Today when I logged in about 1 PM, the generator was out of fuel and off.

So I guess one of the dev's should be able to tell me/us how long they're supposed to be running on full "tank"
Edit. forgot - the smartphone batteries were not fully charged

1.14 PM today, was when I again, fully fueled the small generator again - just logged in and it's already empty. That's only about 4 hours? :O Surely this must be a bug, even if I was charging my smartphone battery

I feel like charging batteries shouldn't empty out the generator this fast

I was just testing this. I'm talking in IRL time below:

I timed the fuel consumption in 15 minute intervals and found that my small Ronda generator only used about 0.25% of the fuel reserve per hour while charging batteries.

I logged off last night with the genny running. I filled the gas right before logging off. Logging on right now I find it has 79.053% fuel remaining. I logged off approximately 10 hrs ago.

So rounding the figures, I used 20% of the tank in 10 hrs. Which approximately matches my 15-minute trials.

I presume that if your server has the time multiplier changed from default this might be different. Also if I'm not mistaken there are fuel use modifiers in the server settings too. But it looks like the default gas consumption is approximately 0.25%/hr, or 6% per day, IRL.

I can confirm thomas' observations.
I don't have exact numbers tho but 3 mini fridges and a small batt charger hooked up to the bigger gen.
I usually fill up before I leave and even if I take a day off in scum I find my gen at roughly 30%.
Daytime speed is slightly adjusted to the slower side on the server I play on tho. I think it's at 2 or something.
Not very helpful information for you, but thinking 4hrs is way outta norm. There's somethn off in your case.

I totally forgot about that, although it seems it runs out faster than it normally would using it previously. I do have 3.84 speed, and nighttime starts at 23:30 and ends 03.00.
However - you're using the big generator - I was talking about the small one.
I've changed some settings now - see how that works.

Either way - would be nice if one of the dev's could reply and let me know what the default hours each of the different generators should be able to run per default settings. That way I know what I have to compare with and facts ;)
