Which items despawn & which persist?

Can we make a list of inventory items which do NOT despawn? So far I am aware of:
- propane tanks
- grill
- mini fridge
- pots
- generators

I know there are others.

How about the battery chargers? Will they disappear if I leave them out with my generator running?

I think there should be some clear indication (on the icon of each item perhaps) of which items will despawn.

For the sake of new players, especially once we're out of EA, I think it needs to be made really obvious.

I'd agree, but I wouldn't need any indication in game, a simple list somewhere on these discussion boards would suffice for me.

There was a recent question about items which can't be bought at dealers, but must be found in the world. One of the devs replied with a simple list, and that's all that was needed.

I'd agree for myself, a list here or on a wiki page would suffice for me. But for a new player or someone on the fence about buying, this could be the thing which keeps someone from playing. It comes down to 'polish'. Having some items persist and some that despawn with no documentation would drive lots of people crazy.

A simple symbol overlay on each icon could indicate whether it will despawn if left out (example: the little corner-triangle which currently indicates flare-color).

Storage boxes still disappear randomly. Medium box just poofed out of existence yesterday. I believe they have been working on this but it is clearly not yet fixed.

there's been this bug where if you created your box on your foundation/floor and at some point destroy it - any box created on it will also disappear even if it's not physically on it.
