Yep I always sell them, +3 heat value and not worthy.
They protect from puppets slaps and maybe from new NPC attacks. So they have a use...
@Devs to make the helmet useful....add concussion! :)
You already have all the elements (head pain, blurry vision, disorientation, confusion, nausea/vomiting).
To heal it faster we can wear sunglasses and earplus [limit bright light and strong noise], drink more water, rest on a bed/bedroll.
Why not? :)
Only good bit is they cover the shiny BCU glow! But there are other options for that I guess.
Add suffocation to the list of consequences.
A concussion can have extreme side effects. Sunglasses/earmuffs don't help and are more likely to help with myraine than a concussion.
By the way, helmets only offer limited protection. I know of a case (learned at the volunteer fire brigade) where a motorcyclist had a broken skull despite his helmet, the helmet was what held him together.
I learned from the military why you wear a helmet. Not as bullet protection (he can do that if you're lucky, but it wasn't designed for that) but as fragmentation protection against grenades. The best protection is still solid cover (if it doesn't fall on your head.)
It all depends on helmet, angle of impact, caliber and range from shot fired. But clearly that altyn helmet can take more than version of it is in game.
On an air assault in Vietnam, a Huey pilot took an AK round to the helmet. The bullet penetrated the flight helmet just above his right ear. It deflected and traveled inside the helmet around the top of his head and exited above his left ear
So yeah, bullets and their trajectory are definitely not predictable
Definetly true but helmets that was used in Vietnam war is not the type of helmet this discussion is :)
i want to try this. the level of fkng around and finding out seems too good to pass on. :))
Thats not true! Helmets does not protect at all! We tried all calibers on different helmets, on officials. Wooden arrow will oneshot you in head, doesnt mater which helmet.
