What are the bot shop?

Irl money would be against almost everything rule wise.
I think you can turn in fame or things like puppet eyes and such for things from those shops.

usualy priavte servers have these for "kits" so people who want to ONLY pvp can trade ingame money for ingame items or what not

imo dumb but casual players who wanna play rust in scum use them
if you come across a server where they charge IRL money for ingame items PLEASE report that server to devs directly....

Bot shops are basically helper entities that give out gear packs or other assembled packs to players in exchange for specified currency. As already well explained, this serves to simplify or speed up the gameplay, but they are not part of the basic system of the game. So they are not part of the SCUM software.

RMT or real money trading is prohibited in any form. As mentioned, immediate reporting of the event is required here.

yet RMT is allowed if it is branded as a dlc and put out by the devs, and this is even worse than a bot shop server because dlc`s apply to all servers, not just the ones hired by the bot shop owners, i`ve played on bot shop servers in the past, i have never paid any money to get anything on those servers, and i never felt that anyone who did gained an advantage over me that simply isn`t true, the ones who do lose out are sites like gg host and other hosting sites or does anyone believe that players paying for gear are now hiring servers themselves, the devs can`t claim that bot shops are bad and then end up doing the same thing themselves but just call it something else.

were furthering the development of the game
not "funding" some random guys addictions to what ever they choose to spend money on
theres a difference learn it
if you dont like the DLC dont buy it
but its NOT the same...

Actually atm since everyone on those servers that have the bot can play under the same benefit there is no unfairness to it at all.

In a sense they are helping the game cause currently there are many complaints of disappearing corpses, so in this way spending in game coins to have the bot drop off another set of gear mean you just keep playing not worrying about the gear you just lost!

It just turns it into one big pvp event unless your playing on the few rare pve bot servers where the bots serve a different purpose...

Some servers use bots connected to discord where you can earn points and such and get rewards. As for RMT there are rules per EULA. Bot shops can have a donation set up if all players benefit them but not if they create a P2W or Pay to play environment. If you see those feel free to report them.

Pay 2 Win is terrible and I hope it doesn’t take Scum over when people realize profit in server hosting…. that being said I wouldn’t mind if some servers EVENTUALLY had deep mods and allowed a subscription service for more of a event based/death match/fame chasing experience. I’d pay for the modding on the server alone!

They are not pay to win you pay nothing...

You get coins when you join the discord.
You earn coins for your time playing on the server.

With those coins you place orders just like you can buy stuff at the trader only a bot brings then to you!

You can also ask the bot to teleport you to a different area on the map!

Different servers have different set ups!
