Issue with disabling sentries in single player
So I have disabled sentries in the settings and applied. I have returned to main menu multiple times to reset the server. The sentries are still there.

Does the player need to be a certain distance away from any sentries?
Does this setting just disable spawning and the ones already there are there until destroyed?

Ok. I finally got it. I think that I had to close out the game.

I tried going half a sector away and exiting to menu, and they were still there at the boot camp. so then I went a full sector and even further. I check the airport first, and the sentries were there. I stopped at the town on the left side of B2 on my way back and exited to menu. And this time I closed out the entire game just for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles. This town is roughly 1 sector's distance away from the boot camp. I returned to the boot camp and there were no sentries. I then returned to the airport just to check and they weren't there either. the airport is closer to where I logged though, so I'm not sure if it was the distance or the fact that I restarted the entire game. Thank you both for your replies.

Hello :),

What is the name of the setting you changed in your server settings? Once you have disabled mechs, they are no longer present on the server/singleplayer world.

Maybe have a look at %LocalAppData%\SCUM\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\ServerSettings.ini and make sure you have the line scum.DisableSentrySpawning=1

If there and still no joy, I'd try going somewhere well away from sentries & restarting the game. Ttbomk exiting to menu should be equivalent, but maybe not in all cases.

(The setting definitely works ok for me in SP.)

Under World tab NPC subcategory setting: Disable sentry spawning: set to On.

Just checked the .INI, it is set to 1.
