SCUM
Hand abrasions, I don't see what the fuss is about
For those that find hand abrasions a pain, sure they are but not as bad as most are fusing about, right after the last update I went into my single player and started playing with no gloves on and sure enough after searching a few houses and clearing out a police station, not excluding the near garages my hands were bleeding, C1 injury, perhaps a tweak but that is up to the devs, I then went over to the private server I play on, this character wears gloves constantly, (fingerless) and I did the same houses, police station and garages, along with camping outpost, filling car at station, houses at another area, selling all the goods looted at trader, crafting, repairing cloths, car, bases times 2, driving car like I stole it, getting it stuck and unstuck, eating, drinking and all the other mundane stuff you have to do in Scum to survive, all this with gloves on that are now at 80% and still no abrasions, IMO the devs have this right, so wear gloves Scumbabys.

Tell me why we need gloves to not have bleeding hands 24/7 ? I have not worn a pair of gloves in about 8 years and Haven't got hand abrasions in that time.

The fuss is to at least let us craft improvised gloves like there is with improvised shoes. Seems fairly simple to me.

And yet there are others who would get blisters on their hands after 10 minutes of manual work.

There was a bug where the hand abrasion did jump to C2 right away when starting an action. Maybe that caused most of the complains and the initial balance is always a little off.

I would say its mainly in for testing the mechanic and it works well, it tracks your actions syncs with the server takes gloves into account and so on...

Medical conditions dont make any sense in the game right now anyway since there is only one wound type. A linear bleeding wound for every medical condition.
In the future i guess there will be sepearate wound types with their own set of effects and stages.
Abrasion should be a seperate wound type as well as many other like cutting wounds, stabbing wounds, piercing wounds, burn wounds, scratches, blunt wounds, ripping wounds, shrapnel wounds and internal wounds like broken bounds, splitters, organ damage and so on. And likely many ways of treatment that support healing of the wounds so you might survive them rather than a simple binary system, without rag deadly with rag perfectly fine.

Looking forward to what the devs can do here when all parts are in place. :bunnyinablanket:

i rarely get blisters on my hands, but when i do how i treat it is remove the glove, open the blister and dry and then carry on working without gloves on, since wearing gloves while working hard is what gives me blisters on my hands to begin with, i get where scum is going with all the medical issues in game but i do wonder is the game better without it, and in my opinion the game was better back in 0.5 adding problems now doesn`t make scum better, future medical issues might drive players to find another game to play.

Yeah, I've walked away for now. I love SCUM, I will always come back, but I have no desire to baby every cut/scrape/blister on my toons hands. Did it with feet, hated it, cannot believe after the squawking that happened with feet its been implemented with hands. SMH What's next? Hemorrhoids? Toons don't practise any sort of hygiene after a bowl movement. Surely they need poo/pee stains on their underwear, spread staph infection to other players when hands are not washed after using the restroom..... it's never ending. Looking forward to seeing what is next. <3

THIS needs dialed back or taken away. Don't pull the day z move where breaking a stick cuts your hands every time.. That is AWFUL.

Blistered? Sure, Enable that and give the character a penalty for pain or something, not bleeding hands.

It was already adjusted in the Friday hotfix.
