A step backward - Patch 0.8.30.61283

For me, this patch was a step backwards for Scum. Things were changed that worked perfectly fine before. It's almost like the Devs have never heard the phrase "if it isn't broken don't fix it".

•The way the character enters a vehicle now is incredibly annoying.

•The Fame, Cash, and Gold info now on the right corner of the screen. Why not let us choose where we want this displayed?

•Gas now costs money yet the gas stations are abandon with no NPCs except puppets.

I really hope the Devs see their error and change things back or improve them because this was a big disappointment for me. So much to actually be fixed yet this is what they choose to spend their time focusing on? It's frustrating. But hey, at least we got dirt bikes and high heels, right? 🤡

it's a terrible change. I see no logic, no logic at all, in the fact that gasoline costs money, but there are no advocates and sellers of gasoline. by right of the strong, I take gasoline for free. It also makes sense that I can hack ATMs with cash.

OK then. allow. I can't run barefoot. but my feet don't break in shoes. Then. I will take damage without gloves. I agree. but with gloves as shoes, I must not take damage. I always thought that programmers, developers are people of logic. but no, I was wrong.

here on the forum someone wrote that those who came up with such illogical mechanics should be fired from their jobs. I agree with him.

I agree! Many changes in the game look very strange and illogical.

If we have paid for gasoline, then let there be NPCs at the gas stations and there will be a mini-safe zone at the gas station.
Otherwise, what's the point? Gasoline is paid, but zombies roam there. The gas station is abandoned. Paying for gasoline is stupid.

A vivid example and a master class from the developer - How to make a beautiful thing in the game completely unnecessary!
fingerless gloves do not give any protection.
Starting the game, it is very easy to get injured C2 during a fight with zombies. Then why are there no homemade gloves in crafting?
This is very, VERY stupid.
Fingerless gloves can now be thrown away. It's trash!

Do they really close the car door while driving in Croatia? How could such a thing have been invented?

Some of the changes are simply absurd and have no logic.

Completely agree... sadly. One patch amazing, another one horrible. Why do we need 20 different types of female shoes which nobody will use anyway?

To add a seemingly irrelevant bad change in this update but visually important for me and some other people as well... military pants do not tuck into boots anymore on female characters... Why?! It is a change for the worse ffs... if it aint broke, don't try to fix it...

Getting in the vehicle automatically is stupid because what if I just want to open the door to allow someone else not in my squad to drive? And I'm not sure about the passanger side but if the character automatically sits down thats a problem too because what if I'm opening the door to give someone a ride? My car is locked therefore nobody except me or squad can access it. So I have to open doors for them and now my character will automatically get in when I don't want them to get in. Additionally my character now gets in and sits there with the door wide open instead of closing it. Now I have to start driving down the road for him to finally close it? Really? So again, this is a stupid change.

As far as the heels go, I'm not opposed to them adding clothing. I think it's good to add that. The problem is there's a whole plethora of crap that needs fixing and to be reintroduced back into the game after they've removed them to "work on them" yet they're spending resources, time, and energy on giving us nonsense like Chinese outfits and high heels. It's also frustrating as someone who plays male characters that they keep pandering to female characters while while some of us are still waiting on the ability to further the customization of our character like the female characters received.

The abrasions are crazy, you get them for the most mundane of tasks.

There's fun realism and then there's tedious realism.

This mechanic isn't even realistic as you get them from a brisk walk or digging around in cabinets.

Mechanic should be removed entirely.

So many steps backwards. We lost growing hair in 0.8 too. So this update we get(back) dirt bikes with the ability to remove their wheels, yay? There should be more options like using the back for storage space instead of a seat.

Majority of players dont have a vehicle, it kinda makes since that the minority who do have to pay a bit for the massive advantage they have that comes with a vehicle.

If i had it my way there would be far less gas spawning at the stations to be purchased.

Thanks for the reply. I just want to see Scum succeed and become a really great game. So it's concerning when it feels like updates end up being regressive instead of progressive for the game. I look forward to seeing better updates in the future.
