Tricks like Sr. Morajsakom shared can work as well to cath heavier fishes.
If I am fishing on the sea shore, my line always breaks if I use bollies or meat bait.
I find it easier to land fish by using grasshopper bait. Bollies I save for the rivers and lakes.
Twin hooks I found to be better than single hooks.
So try different bait and waters, you will find a combination that works for you!
