Let me dust my memory. Jagex is well known for RuneScape franchise, am I right?

And, after a quick search, that's what I've found:

But even if MTX are not in the future of SCUM, being aquired by a bigger company isn't a bit of a danger?

Usually the new owner do not give much room for creativity and original idea and tend, historically, to focus on monetization. Have a very short leash.

I hope this news is fake because I really fear the road that is ahead.

Somehow I doubt Jagex acquired this team out of the good of their hearts... they will expect a return of investment somehow. We'll just have to wait and see what that entails...

Not true, it's actually remained fairly consistent since the beginning. there is a file that outlines the vision in the game files on your hard drive.

If anything i would expect the the new company to press for harder deadlines and release dates that are shorter even if it means making systems simpler.

They will want to see an ROI in the shortest possible time frame.

Ive played Jagex games on an off for 16 years. This will cement this games longevity. Updates, bug squashing, and content for years and years to come this is nothing but a good thing.
