Farming questions

enjoying the new farming, it looks good, the growth stages look good and the weeds and other aspects that degrade your crops is good touch.
Just would to like to know more about the harvesting, i got about 20 plants at rip stage and so far only been able to harvest 2 products from them. (each plant has been searched about 4 time now ( all watered, fertilised, weeded and free of pest/disease )

the harvesting seems to be no different to wild plants
i was expecting that with the care required to farm that they would produce more then wild plants, (not to dayz standards of 1 plant = 12 fruit, but more then 1 fruit produced at random on searches)

do they keep producing? does it get to a stage where it will produce extra/more then wild plants? ( looking to set my server up so farming is profitable).
do the plants eventually die off and need resowing?

I just experimented planting and watering a couple of seeds in my first garden. What's the growth rate? How long does it take for plants to emerge? About your question: I don't know yet, but I expect we'll need to resow plants after every harvest, except of course if you planted fruit trees. Have you tried fruit trees yet?

my tomato plant without industrial fertilizer is growing. but the ones with are stil seeding

all my plants grown (mixture of veg and fruit)
get product from them every 3 or 4 searches
there been no need to resow.

my plants took approx 24-48 hrs to reach maturity and start producing

Thats about the time it takes for them to fully grow, some take less some take more.

Figured as much, my main question is to to there harvest amounts and should they be more then wild plants and do they die and need resowing

If it is ingame you would have to play two ingame days and nights which equals about 4 hours of gameplay?? (not sure about SCUM's time progression) If it is 24-48 hours realtime gaming hours then that means it would take about 8 game sessions of 3 hours each to see any results. If it is 24-48 hours realtime without gaming, it would suffice to log off from the game and wait until the next day..........which is it??

So you're saying I have to play the game for at least 24 hours real time (that is six evenings with a four hour play schedule) before I see any plants emerge?

no i was harvesting 24 -48 hrs after i planted, not 6 evenings. servers run non stop so they grow even if not online, cant say for single player
