Radiation zone too big?
Was deployed somewhat north of the junkyard and got radiated right away. No chance to live that. :b

Seriously though, I just read a post from a Dev that the whole sector C0 is meant to be radiated.
If that's really the case then this sector gotta be removed for getting spawned in as a new char! Or entirely removed for spawning and respawning.

kinda unlucky isn`t it a new fresh spawn falling through the air and dies without having any chance to survive, almost like getting killed after you try to leave the game, you log out but you`re character is still kill able in game for a while, will the devs remove spawn and respawn points for c0 probably not, it`s bad luck if you die before you can play the game.

The radiation at the border isnt that bad. You just shouldnt stay there for a long time and leave the area. You shouldnt get any health issues if you dont parachute into the nuclear POI itself.
But yeah new players are doomed, they dont know they get contaminated in that area and might stay around that place until its too late. Guess its a thing you need to know or learn once.
Why am I constantly getting the radiation warning in the Junkyard then. I spawned in above the Nuclear plant and ran down to the Junkyard. I am still getting radiation exposure warnings and it's been days since I was up there. Does it follow you around? Do I need to swap out all of my clothes. Nothing says it's radiated. I run around outside of my cabin at the Junkyard it says Zero. I go inside my cabin at the Junkyard and it says 3. Hmmmmmmm

You need a Geiger counter, then you will get a symbol showing which items have been contaminated. Just discard those or clean them with soap.

You don't even need to go that far. anything contaminated slowly loses contamination over time. If you are just within the radiation zone the light exposure wears off within 5 to 10 minutes. as long as you don't eat the food before the contamination wears off you wont get anymore rads than you were already exposed to.

In that area your exposure is less than 2 rads per minute. You may see your exposure rising but unless you remain in the area for an hour you wont even get seriously ill. The radiation zone extends further from the plant on the east side than it does on the west. the zone really isn't very big.
