Not for now, but if i understood correctly the Developers will add a Setting for it in further development.
Oh ok, thank you for quick reply, hopefully they add it soon. I understand the reasons they put limit on it, but atleast there should be settings for it, not "hard-coded".
I hope it will go fast, because kicking the big PvE/RP community in the crotch with the flag limit was possibly not the best idea. ;)
It worked really fast with hotfixing the serversetting for max BB elements, hope the flag limit will be a setting very soon.
Max BB elements option in the server settings was included since the release of 0.8, for the flags, there are no such options and the current limit is 1 flag per player or squad.
All you are talking is about multiplayer. ok, I understand the reason to have a limit of flags.
But why the single mode players should suffer from that???
I'm playing alone. I don't have hundreds more with me.
I want to be able to place more then 1 flag and build a few small bases around the map like I used to before 0.8 and those limitations.
Or atleast, allow us to build without a flag (in single player mode)
Really need to fix it
+1
1. Set 'ItemDecayDamageMultiplier=0.0' in the serversettings.ini file.
2. build a base somewhere with a flag and finalise everything you want in the base, then destroy the flag (the base will remain as it is and wont degrade, so you can come back to it later and use it if you want to).
3. build elsewhere with a new flag, the old base will still remain there without a flag.
Have tried this in SP mode and it works.
If you take down your first flag, will the base structures around it become destroyed?
Maybe you can just take down the flag and put up a new one somewhere else?
We are working on implementing server settings where you can set a number of flags per squad/player and you already have the server settings for the maximum number of elements. So you will be able to have 1000 flags in singleplayer if you want to, this is just the current balance for the official servers that is also being looked into.
Thanks for that.
Being looking at the ini file but couldn't figure THIS.... Duh :)
