Where is the salt?

I’ve been searching kitchens and markets for over a week now since resuming play from a long break. I haven’t found salt once…ok, maybe once, early on before I learned how important it was to preserve meat.

What’s up with the salt?

Perhaps, but naw, that’s way too far away. I’m ok not having ready access to salt by choice of living near a salt factory or having vehicle to possibly make it more convenient(but that comes with its own costs). But finding no salt seems a bit odd.

Theoretically, salt can be found in many places. The RNG can be very naughty here at times, but that shouldn't stop you from browsing the various POI's. In addition to households and villages, I also found salt in military installations, be it a brick factory or one of the many bunkers. Cities with ports etc. So there is a very large number of possible locations.

Nevertheless, a visit to the salt farm is worthwhile. Because here you can even pick up a large package of salt, which of course means that you have reserves for it a little longer and that you don't have to visit again so quickly.

Easiest is the mine in Z3 it's a sure thing even though far from some. Though I do like the salt bag spawns also as they can have 100 charges but only take up one slot.

just make the trip to z3 once and bring a few bags back you'll be good for months...

While you can find it across the map, definitely the easiest is to go to Z3 and get the salt you need from there.
