Yes, SSD have a significant faster processing speed then HDD and will enhance the loading times.
That is not entirely true. there are games that work the same on hdd and sdd. Anyway this topic is closed for me.
Must be games i've never played, as an SSD was a massive improvement in all the games i had installed when i happily left the HDD world forever. Can't imagine deciding not to upgrade to an SSD just because 'a small handful of old games don't see any loading speed improvement'. The vast majority will and do.
Not whether or not is SSD better in general.
The user is probably refering to trash code of GTA Online and similar games that are not bottlenecked by hardware at all.
HDD is toooooooooo oldddddddddd, slow crappy tech
as per:
It's not always a given that SSD is better, so the question is very much relevant. No need to get snarky about it.
So you tell me- if you're looking at buying a harddrive now for current and future gaming purposes, which are you going to buy? The older, much slower HDD that only just 'holds its own' on a small handful of old, poorly programmed games that don't take advantage of an SSD's awesome speed? Or an SSD that absolutely zips in comparison when loading and playing all modern games that were programmed by people with an actual clue? Frankly, i would be obliged to slap myself for being an irredeemable imbecile, if i didn't run, not walk, to get an SSD. It's the absolute best upgrade the OP could possibly make for SCUM, and the vast majority of modern games, short of a brand new computer.
That's all well and nice but an ssd the size of my hdd still would cost 4 times the hdd prize.
Before you say a thing, consider that back then, 4 years ago, there were no comparable ssds (discspacewise) and it was the best a hdd could offer.
So, for me it was making a decision and I went for the hdd.
