Getting ban from EAC for having Wemod in pc

Anyone recieved ban for scum from EAC for cheating just because you had wemod installed? I did. I used Wemod for games like AC black flag and witcher. but apparently wemod added Scum recently and EAC found it reason enough to ban.

Never heard of Wemod before so Googled it and it says:

Seems like EAC did the right thing to a lot of you today.

in the case of We Mod, maybe, but what about those who did not have mods installed, but they were banned anyway, I can't understand why I was banned

millions of people around the world use trainers like WeMod but use them in offline single player games .... but to be given a ban just for having it on your pc whether you use it or not is out of order and to say you deserve it is just a ridiculous response .

I got banned from a private PvE server where i'am the admin of so no need for cheat software so there is more going on then just people having wemod installed.

the fact that EAC somehow has the right to see whats on your comp (PERSONAL DATA?). is grounds for me to figure what games use their service and perma uninstall. my personal data is mine, not some idiot snooping programs that will probly sell that data behind my back.

Yeah, this has me concerned as well, if it's only checking active memory while I'am playing a game that is one thing, but if EAC is actually snooping around on my HD, that's a problem.

me too today ban , however, online bans are only if they harm other players, or take advantage of certain advantages to win in certain situations?
while it was solo to make screens in fly mode which, moreover, can be activated with the admin commands so the admins must also be banned?

As much as I see motives for concern and the fact I'm a declared enemy of Epic and intrusive AC software, about every piece of DRM software made for online interactions will do a scan after executable and/or process names that may be running on the background.

i was banned as well.. Wemod installed a long time ago and never used and not even running in the background.. This is ♥♥♥♥.. from someone that has reported cheaters with evidence... disappointing

It's not combing through your files. It looks for active processes that try to hook into the game

EAC commonly flags LED lighting software as suspicious, but all that's needed to avoid it until they correct the mis-identification is to shut down the software. So it's still there, but EAC doesn't care.

And while it's annoying to those who get hit with it everyone should keep in mind that it wasn't intentional. Something got screwed up and they'll correct it.
