I mean, pristine cloths shine more (you are more visible supposedly) than dirty ones and cloths with 0 durability dont despawn...
So why I should wash my cloths?
I see only disadvantages to do it till Durability degradation will have some real effect on cloths (and anyway this would be more bound with ''repair'' that not with wash).
Clean cloths will have something to do with my health in a (hope really soon) future?
It will be more useful once diseases are implemented. And this way you can get clean rags , without the need to wash them one by one.
Only freshwater works.
Seriously, WTF man?
Yeah, the amount of soap needed to wash your clothes is ridiculous. And it didn't help that they reduced the number of uses each soap has. And clothes also get dirty almost immediately anyway. So as it is right now its more or less pointless to wash your clothes.
