How do you guys get your stats so high? I've been playing for 30 hours and have gained like .1 to str,con. I really wish they would change the leveling system it's honestly the worst part of the game and should honestly be top priority of the devs. It's THE biggest flaw of the game by far and also the least fun thing about the game.

For me it's what makes the game bring something to the table you don't find in other games, and I love it. Skill levelling is horrible, but developing my character's attributes through diet and exercise is great.

Everyone has something they either want made harder or easier with this game I've noticed. I hated the skill leveling and diet/exercise aspects and wanted to max everything for my SP character quick. I still have to maintain my character's diet though which is enough extra work. I still have to keep dry and wash my gear to maintain it. I have to repair gear that's breaking down or find new gear to replace it. All of that is a lot of work in and of itself.

But I didn't want GPS mapping and didn't like getting a map with a red GPS dot showing me right where I was on the island at the very beginning since i felt that killed the entire concept of exploring and finding things on my own. I was hoping for a complete "fog of war" experience so that I'd have a reason to explore the entire map to find everything on my own.

Wish there was a way to make your own map(s) with some sort of journal that draws the map based on "fog" that you've cleared through exploration. While the current game map doesn't show city names or much other information it does show where all the cities and buildings are on the map and right where you are from the get go which made discovery and exploration sort of moot since I was able to find a great location to go and set up my shelter at on a lake with great fishing and hunting close by.

Once you have a good spot to settle down at and have a decent shelter and weapon(s), there's not much point in exploring the map much more since all you really need to do at that point is hunt, fish, eat, sleep, use the bathroom, and maintain your gear. And the loot system is pretty bad for those who explore looking for loot because you'll come across a corn field with actual corn right in front of your face and when you "search" it it will say you didn't find anything. But it's right there in front of me! I was screaming at my character, "You moron! It's right there, PICK IT! PICK THE CORN!!" But the game says, "There's nothing there" ... "BS!!! It's right F-ing THERE! PICK IT!!! PICK THE CORN!!! GRRRRR!!!" LMAO! I feel like if I see corn then there should be corn to pick. And then most of the cabinets and drawers and cupboards and lockers are almost always empty which makes exploring most city areas moot. If you want good gear and stuff then just go to a military base and sneak pass the sentry bots and you'll find lots of stuff quick in those places.

Who needs RPGs when you have those guns?
I love how different body shapes can be in Scum.

I was curious about how it would look with max STR so my gal got the hexachemical treatment as I can't afford the time to improve it the hard way.
I did start it with a previous character, using weighted hiking backpack, body armor, dual M82, etc. auto-running beyond exhaustion, stocking up on shoes, MREs, sardine cans, and the MP server I was on got wiped, chars included… Never again ^^

Now I need to test if she can one-punch puppets to oblivion with max brawling and those useless fist knuckles.

The progression can provide actually rewarding long-term goals with the stats mechanics but I'd wait for v1.0 before engaging in such time-obliterating activities.
