Started with 3 in Con and raised to 3.5.
No sickness or other condition when I started to test infections.
Around 70% food and 100% water.
Oh does having high food and water help with lowering the risk of infections?
It's more like being in a starving and dehydrated thirsty state will make you less resistant and heal slower.
Anyone have made some testings?
From my testing yes.
Correct from what I see.
As you stated the absinthe/alcohol when applied directly or with cloth to make disinfected bandages prevents further infection but once in the state of Germs, anti-biotics seem only way to combat that stage of the infection.
This would be great. I wonder if this will come later after farming is implemented.
I too miss the aloe vera, hopefully that will come back. I wonder if it was remove for work on the farming update?
+1 hope they adjust the antibiotic degrade timer. For my own server I don't mind going to the trader to stock up, i usually combat the wounds before they get to the germ stage but handy to have. But I get it for those who don't visit trader much. I'm sure these will be adjusted as time goes on. (although i have metabolism on 7.84 speed because i'm a nut case I love the challenge:-))
Many thanks for the above reply!
Yes you're right and that is what I don't like. When traders were added, devs reduced chance of finding stuff around, even medicine. So you probably don't have some with you or on your saved loot.
Btw in a survival game my first thought is about doing it on my own!
And not keep going to traders to ask help for every problem I got. :D
A new players may look for antibiotics in towns, like the pharmacy, bathroms, and then in all buildings. And usually he won't find anything there as the loot is reduced.
He may feels the game is broken, as he will open so many empty containers.
This is something to keep in mind devs, as when the clock ticks, new players get confused and frustrated.
A new player, that don't know too much about infections, we probably don't care too much about it. But when the infection has raised above a certain level, he must use antibiotics to survive. And he need to take antibiotics until the infection is gone, so around 4-5 pills.
And to help antibiotics you need to disinfect wounds too, usually 2-3 charges of absinthe or alchool for C1 wound.
Doing my tests, with dirty clothing, using disinfected bandages and using alchool to disinfected wounds, I reached 11 C1 infections when I started to take antibiotics. Around 22-33 charges or 3 bottle of disinfectant. Too much to me.
So if you got infected and don't treat it soon, you will depend on your belongigns or traders for antibiotics and disinfectant. There is NO OTHER WAY!
You can't rely on luck to find them cause you need at least 1 blister of antibiotics and 2-3 bottle of disinfectant. So if you don't your saved loot near, you must go to a outpost.
And new player probably don't know that, so he die.
Best way to learn SCUM btw :D
