They do get wet, yes, but it takes time for the trench foot to appear in your health overview.
so
why not this one should also apply
And maybe some shoes make less noise (combat boots make a lot of it).
at this point trench foot feature is only annoy me. as i have to use only rubber shoe. i dont want to care about about my socks and combat boots and switch those every 5 minutes. it takes less then 5 minutes to get 100% wet on a snow which is nonsense.
ever see snow?
It could be rags or any woolen clothes force amples.
Drying socks and more over boots is a different matter. My own tactical boots required once 7 days to dry in a "normal" environment.
My trekking shoes can take a few days to dry as well after heavy rain or walking in soaked earth paths with dogs.
I agree that Foot trench is not happening after a single day... and takes longer, but maybe it is connected with hair growth. 🤣
High demand stuff...
Why all Early Access game developers are obsessed with wasting their time on minor stuff that adds nothing to the game, while ignoring issues with core gameplay ?
+1 Maybe having some dry rags or socks could reduce the chance of having it.
You can use talcum powder to dry your feet as well.
Hope being shoe less under the sun will dry both feet, socks and shoes.
It seems rubber boots are not helping to counter effect Foot Trench effects, which bothers me a bit. Of course socks can become wet because of sweating in such boots.
I am very happy to see socks will play a more important role now.
And we need more types (construction socks - last longer -, trekking socks - reduce sweating -, winter socks - reduces cold feet but increase sweating in normal and sunny conditions, etc.)

if the video is true and i believe it is, i think some people here either didn't even test the feature, or are a bit overexaggerating
