Indeed, normally a popup window should appear explaining the controls for the parachute.
You can control the free fall using the WASD keys, use the mouse wheel to lean forward and back while using the "F" key to open the parachute, the best way to do this is to rotate the mouse wheel backwards and then open the parachute.
I found out why. I'm glad you two didn't have a problem.
I know what I said is PG compared to other re actions out there but clearly I lost my cool a bit. Thanks for the in depth response considering...
I've done a recording. However the following is what you'll see.
I loaded up my character I made this morning re spawned..no controls came up at all fell to my death. Deleted character, made a new character and the controls popped up this time. I intentionally fell to my death. Re spawn the controls are not there.
To be clear I had to get up before the game loaded for the first time this morning when I came back I was dead. So I had no way of knowing the controls.
My suggestion is to always have the controls pop up in the corner by default, with an option to toggle it on/off.
I hear ya, it's not bad advice at all, but not good either. It depends on how long the game has been in EA for..
My favourite game Kenshi was in EA for years and its one of the best games on steam. That is horrible advice for a game like that during those years with older stuff becoming irrelevant.
This has been going since 2018... That is ♥♥♥♥ ton to go through. But still not a bad point.
Just depends on what things are actually shown in said patch notes or developer notes etc IMO.
wish you'd "pay respects" before hit the ground ;)
