I have chosen to have a Windows 10 machine for this (among other applications - and because my Linux laptop is way outdated). Great to see there are Linux players!
Let's keep this Linux train rolling.
Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS
5.13.0-35-generic
AMD Ryzen 7 3800xt 8 core
Radeon RX570
Open source AMD Radeon Ubuntu drivers.
REALLY WANT THAT MULTIPLAYER!
It is now since sometime ago.

Edit:
Game already works solo on Linux via Proton; now what's missing its adding support for EAC to enable the MP
The original compatibility required a newer SDK of EAC than the game uses.
Valve has been working with Epic to make the support easier, and supposedly came up with a 3-step process to make even older versions compatible without having to rebuild their binaries, but even then not all games work with it yet, which is why protonDB maintains a list of games and the state of their compatibility, so time will tell. It's not a simple button press or checkbox thing.
