G-Portal backup?

I see that with a GPortal server, I’m able to backup my game. Though my friend and I haven’t been playing for a while and I’ve been paying for the server.

My question is: if I backup my server/game/however that works, and then I cancel my server, if I was to rent a server again in the future, would I be able to recover the old server info?

I'd say that's a question you should probably best submit a ticket with G-Portal - they are your server provider and could answer that question for you the best.

The best thing you can do as Queen ShielMaiden already said is to open up a ticket with the server provider where you took the server and ask them that question. They will be able to explain and answer the best since it's the service you are using.

No the server will be wiped if subscription is not continued. I debated on continuing my server as me and my friends are taking a break until 0.7 comes out. G-Portal wipes the server if subscription is not renewed within 15 days from expiration.
Assuming there may be a potential wipe when 0.7 comes out anyway, I chose to cancel my subscription until then.

If you goto GPortal and on the Status I wonder if you can FTP to get a backup of your game. I just don't have an FTP installed at the moment.

No over FTP you only get access to your logs and nothing else.
