Bunk beds useless except as flair? Also squad spawn question.

So I built a small cabin, playing on a private server with the wife and wanting to save space.
Built the 'Bottom Bed', and rightly assumed you can make into a bunk bed...

... but it's still only my spawn point?

We tried to make sure by doing the upgrade like with all beds (build it together, but let the person it's for finish the build), yet she doesn't get the 'H' icon on the map even though she filled in the last materials.

Is this a bug or not implemented yet, and therefore useless except for beautifying the base?
Or are we missing something?


We just ended up building another bottom bed anyway, as we also noticed the squad spawn function seems to be disabled (despite it being set specifically to 'allowed' in the server settings), so we were not keen on trying to get her killed to find out if it's just the 'H' that's missing - it's just not fun having to jog for like 20 minutes even when sector spawned.

Double checked server settings, but maybe we are missing a function. Set all spawn costs to 1 and allowed all types of spawn, yet not getting the option to squad spawn.
Yes we are squadded up.

Tried to look it up, but it's kinda infuriating with only outdated reddit posts or straight up unclear / unhelpful wiki entries.

Some clarification on those two issues would be appreciated.

Hey there OP, unfortunately, that is bug-related for bunk beds. It will hopefully be resolved in the future. For the squad respawn that was removed from the game quite some time ago and even if it's in server settings it's obsolete and should be removed from them.

so...still a bug? still useless, it is easier and practical to build an improvised bed, bunk beds has no benefits, more materials, more space, but no sharing or improved respawn...

Why would you and your wife, even use a bunkbed? Just place two normal beds next to each other to make a double bed.
