Aiming reticle?
Last time I played there was a way to see an aiming reticle from third person. Has this now been removed?
I prefer not to play in first person.

Hello :)

There hasn't been a crosshair for the third person for a long time.

This gave too many advantages over players playing in first person and has been removed.

Yup. We can only hope for mods to fix this omission, for post-release play.

For about a second, until it disappears. If your target's head bobs during that time and you have to shift your aim, good luck. Then it's back to guess-o-rama.

As with everything you will need to learn how to aim, the dot get's removed once you get into a combat state, and the normal crosshair was removed from the game intentionally.

It'd be great to have accurate (third person) aiming and reticles back, at least as an option for PvE.

Removing the reticle really just screws over PvE players and honest PvP players. Dishonest PvP players will just tape something to the middle of their screen.

While the [Numpad minus] removes the hud for a while, the inventory bar pops back up; is it something you are aware of, and/or have you considered a toggle in the game settings for disabling the hud completely along with the white dot alltogether?

Asking because imo the best way to play a survival game is without any hud elements whatsoever. :D

cheers

PVP players will just turn on the monitor's built in crosshair. Same way people crank the gamma all the way up at night.

I'd like to see the bow draw auto-FPV just like aiming a pistol, so I don't have to manually switch from TPV to FPV every time I want to take aim.

+1 This definitely needs to be changed.

you keep making these sacrifices for the vocal minority of hardcore pvp players. they are the ones who drive casual players away and once they have done that, they will abandon this game. like with all other games like this.
you could at least enable the 3rd person aiming as a server option.

Since you are not aiming with bows that don't have sight it's not switching the view for them either.
