I went to the two closest traders whom both had M9 suppressors and... sorry charlie. They were not available.
An "Out of stock" notification would be nice, unless I missed it at both traders.
EDIT: I should also add that it seems to work in the opposite direction as well. I had a 100% pick ax that I couldn't sell to three traders. That was Tuesday. No notification that they had to many of those. I went back to one of them yesterday (C2) and he bought it.
That is probably because they were out of money. They will buy items no matter how much they have in stock as far as they have money.
Me and my friend are the only people active on the server so I know for a fact its not being purchased. Has this issue come up for anyone else? I've also seen a few rifles seem to act the same way though I haven't checked those in sometime now as I'm just currently interested in the Katana.
That depends on the price of the katana as well, traders have a prosperity system and if the item is expensive it will take a bit of trading with him to unlock certain items.
You mean like you become more friendly with the trader so he respects you and offer you cooler stuff?
I just checked after reading your comment and I think that worked. I purchased the Golden Katana last night and it's suddenly in stock this morning. I guess saving up for the Katana is what made it never come in. That's good to know thank you for this info.
Something like that, it's more like he will have more money and items to offer you as you trade with him more frequently.
