Supply drop on a timer and locked before boom.
I find a supply drop in SP, its on a timer counting down. it shows its locked even after opening the hatch.minutes later, it then explodes, killing me when timer has stopped.what am I missing. I'm getting tired of starting over.

You get a certain amount of minutes, in which to lock pick the cabinets. Once the timer reach zero, the cargo will explode, a very big boom!! If you don't have any lock picking equipment, break it open with a crow bar. If you don't have that, then you can loot some of the cabinets in the last 25secs. The cabinets open on 30 or 25 secs, but remember, the blast radius is VERY big! I suggest building a wall 10m away from the cargo door, and then hide behind the wall, if the time is out. Running away in a straight line won't get you far enough.
Hope this makes sense? For lock picking, you need atleast bobby pins, which you craft into lock picks, as well as screw drivers.

ok sounds like a pain, as I can barely stay alive to even try. food being the biggest issue.

The timer on supply drop is there to show you how much time you have before it explodes. And for the unlock of the lockers, it's placed there for players that don't want to lockpick or force unlock them with crowbars.

I think in SP you can adjust the timer to give yourself plenty of time to crowbar the lockers open.

Was weird to me too, but didn't have screw drivers, so I followed my friend's suggestion. It worked! We both looted 2 cabinets and made for the wall. My hair didn't even move from that blast! lol
But it is a bit nerve wrecking the 1st time, as I have died of that blast 2 times already..

Hang on a second.
A temporary wooden wall 10m away will protect you from the blast but a truck made of steel gets evaporated 100m meters away in the same blast ?

Funny thing is, sometime this will get patched, and then some people will die! LOL
