Streaming speed?
So, what this "Streaming speed" option on video settings means? I set the overall to epic but this option was set to slow. This is the best option? If so, how so? How does it works?

It adjusts how fast the game tries to load game assets (graphics, textures, mostly) when you enter a new area. That's what it does, i'm not absolutely sure what turning it up or down relates to how fast or slow your PC is, or how much it affects your actual game performance, etc.

This is true. Streaming speed should affect performance on lower end PC's in a big way but slower streaming speed combined with the game being installed on a hard disk drive instead on a SSD can result in some issues ( long texture loading times, collision problems , etc. ).

So, if I have a powerful computer, the best way is to set to "fastest"? I have the game installed on a m2 SSD btw

If you got a stud PC, for sure, crank it up. If it doesn't negatively affect your FPS, all good.

What would you recommend setting my Streaming Setting to? My RAM is on SSD but my game is installed on Hard Drive.
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz
Memory: 32 GB RAM (31.81 GB RAM usable)
Current resolution: 1920 x 1080, 60Hz
Operating system: Windows 10

You mean your OS is on the SSD drive? You can't put RAM on and SSD :-)

SATA SSD drives can be up to 4x faster at loading data than an old hard disk drive, so if you can get one installed to put your games on, you'd notice a big difference in load times. Asset load times ingame would be a lot faster, too. My video card and CPU are a bit older than yours, same RAM amount, and i get an average of 45-55 FPS at 1440p on a 27" monitor. That's at ~MED graphics settings, some higher, some lower.

Sorry, I meant my virtual memory is on my SSD. That's correct, right?

And another apology, I meant "what should I set my Streaming Setting to"?

If you have 32GB of RAM, you shouldn't ever have to worry bout using virtual memory (aka: swapfile, pagefile) from any drive. That only gets used when your computer runs out of regular RAM to use. At highest use, SCUM only uses up about 17 GB of my 32 GB of RAM.

Try setting it to high, and if performance is still iffy, notch it down one level at a time, and test. See if that makes any difference.

Okay, thanks.

If your game is on a hard disk drive, I would recommend avoiding the slowest streaming speed option. What smokey said is good advice, you should test it for yourself and see what works best. Further down the line, I highly recommend you switch your game installation onto a SSD (M2 NVMe SSD preferably ) ,as that will improve the performance by a large margin.

I could migrate it to my SSD but Windows 10 seems to keep gobbling up my drive space and I can't figure out where it is going.

I highly recommend this small, free little program- been using it for years for just that kind of issue. It'll show you in a few seconds exactly where the huge, space-hog files are.

That program is FANTASTIC! Thanks! Most of my SSD was taken up with MS Flight Sim 2020 Roaming AppData and Arma 3 Steam Workshop files. The Workshop were sacrificed to migrate my SCUM to my SSD.

Wow, SCUM loads fast from SSD!

Could be automatic backups ? Temp files from installs/updates, trash can(I think) and other temp crap from the net

Edit, just read your last post xD sorry
