Interactive map
I'm kinda disappointed that this has been released, As a game heading in a direction in the eyes of the devs to be more hardcore survival, and having to find a map in the future, its a shame that this new tool has been created by the Polish guy with a lot of time on his hands.

It is excellent work from him of course, but to have a tool on day one of a server wipe that shows every vehicle spawn location on the map.. It basically means if you are not logged in in the first hour of a wipe, you wont get a car.

I know a lot of longer term players, especially in single player as a testing ground, are familiar with many car spawn locations, but.. this tool just feeds the lazy players and removes the need to even try to search. A car hoarding squads dream come true.

For me, I have to work so cant always put in some time right as soon as a wipe comes, but generally as long as it was within the first day I'd have a good chance to find a vehicle.

Players are using this tool on a tablet next to them while playing and using the in game map with red icon to reference their location and easily navigate.

I hope the devs remove the in game map soon and when you do find a map, there should be no red marker to show your position.. Only ability to zoom in and out and see names of towns.

It might slightly slow people down that use this tool on the day one, but most already are pretty familiar with the worldspace, unless spawning in a newer region.

It's tragic if someone has to use things like this to gain advantage (because it is an advantage) and skip all the steps that comes with actually playing the game and learning as you go.

And the problem is , if one is using it,, we all must.
So as a survival game, that element is completely gone

Why is so? "If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you?" The map is just a "helper" or a tool, not something that gives you all the loot, food, vehicles, fame and glory. So you are free to use or not, it is not the end of the world.

I agree that a vehicle help in your survivability but they are rare, even if you know their spawn points (you will eventually find one, I got one in the forth town I visited), but it also have a big CON....with one you are noisy, a bigger target and you are limited by gas....and gas stations spawn bomb puppets so forget about going melee and jerry cans are like a unicorn. xD

That's a learning experience from actually playing the game, not using google. Huge difference
Yes, thats what i meant.

But its still a bit faster to do a CTRL+C and paste it into a map like such which then gives you the information of your exact location, than trying to figure out by looking around in the middle of some random forest you spawn into.

Even tho you can see vehicle spawn locations that doesn't mean they are there. they might be taken already and spawned on any points on the map.

This whole whine post seems a bit pointless. What do you want exactly? That Gamepires should sneak around the interwebs and hack these kinds of sites and illegally destroy their content? Harass them with groundless legal threats? Make it impossible for people to ALT-TAB out of the game? (also pointless, when everyone has phones/tablets/other computers handy. Suck it up, there ain't nothing you or anyone else can do about this supposed 'problem', crikey. It's as dippy as whining about gamers using Discord, and for the same reasons.

PS: it's a great map, kudos to the author. Need more great stuff like that.

Yes, there are only so many vehicles spawned into those 400+? different spots. Thats not telling really anything. You might see where they CAN spawn from that. Anyways, you get to know eventually that only place where they can spawn, are near buildings, most common places being different POIs, that does not need a map. From that perspective, looking at the map is pointless, and the only reason they were added there was because they were highly requested as cars are valuable.

You can find them in places it would only makes sense to find them. In cities, in garages, close to houses, close to garages, all over the island. The spawn points are pretty much everywere it makes sense for a car to be, you dont need a map to find them. But one thing is knowing where they can spawn, the other is being there when they do to get before anyone else, and that is luck, its not special knowledge

LOL the map takes you to exact spawn points. No need to be checking random garages.

You seem really out of touch of the issue here...

Thats what you dont understand, knowing every spawn point means you will have to check random garages the same because pretty much every single one of them is a spawn point.

Take a look at the car spawn map yourself, you will notice that the entire map is coverd by them, knowing where cars can spawn is literally the most useless information in this entire game because its everywhere in the map.

Rule of thumb:
IF THERE IS A ROAD LEADING TO IT AND GARAGES AND CIVILIZTION, A CAR CAN SPAWN THERE.

Now you know the cheat, now you have the knowledge those filthy google users have. Use this new power well.

-1 pointless request to me

Too few hours to play - means people will use "shortcuts" to find things, its inevitable really.
Im a solo player and often when updates appear on games like this, its frustrating to have to travel to a location to find something on a map this large. It is what it is i suppose - its still a wip though so.
xKiCkx  [developer] May 9, 2021 @ 6:49am
Exactly, there is so many different points vehicles can spawn in that knowing the spawn points becomes obselete.

This will be even less useful once we remove the map from the game and you no longer know where you've spawned and need to look to your surroundings for orientation.

Yeah, It was a pointless post and just a rant. There was no request made by me to do anything, Of course its out of devs hands. The post was more for the sake of conversation, and yes, for me to express my disappointment. The one and only thing I sort of asked or hoped was that n game map would be removed (which we all know was coming) and when a map is found it has no dot on it, rather a zoom function to see town names and need to check the yellow signs to find what town you're in.

I dont expect that, I guess it was a suggestion to deal with the 3rd party tool slightly.

The devs also have a good point that its not gauranteed cars will be at the locations of course. Tho there will be no more people opening and checking every single garage, they can navigate a little faster.

At the end of the day, there are many ways a player or squad can still obtain a vehicle during any point in the game. I understand it. Its not a huge deal, but just felt slightly disappointed. I'm sure if the devs intended us to all know that info, without needing to play and learn the surroundings, they would have included it in the in-game map.

I'll keep my posts specifically as bug reports or suggestions only from now on, rather that opinions.

hehee yeeeah, of course there are shortcuts but they are not as fun as the other longer way called "gameplay" 😉🤙

if you want to find a car and you can't do it on the official servers, it's a possible problem with the stackers, try a private server with rules and an active administrator to see what it does

..maybe for example NKX LEGACY if you are ready for a little bit hardcore 😜✌️

I'm eagerly waiting for this to happen. People actually need to use landmarks for navigating! Or figure out the direction by the sun position? But it would also be fun to be able to loot maps, like for one sector, or possibly draw your own and add markings .. or one of those foldable really big "travel guide" maps that my dad used to have in his car.
