DEVS, let's talk about the base building System un UE 5
Since the UE 5 will have NANITE system for STATIC MESHES. It would be nice feature to ahve more advanced building system. What I mean is this

There's a lot of potential with integration of UE5 features in SCUM, but for now we need to focus on other stuff. Your standard/average hardware requirements are still not on par with what UE5 is providing, so there's still some time before hardware catches up. This will give us time to carefully plan about what gets integrated with SCUM.

do you mean like steam average user hardware, or what is currently best on the pc market?

Or the currently impossible-to-find hardware? 😁

Actualy it's not necessary to implement all features of the new unreal engine 5. I think the main game changing feature is the "NANITE" system. For example, on this video he is using an relative medium specs PC and he gain a HUGE advantage from it! Think about it! Maybe you are hanging around in Samobor City and you can almost double your performance there! A lot of high poly staff can be puted in straight away, without any additional LODS!

PS. I don't think we all need to use lumen on low end PC but if our loved devs :steamhappy: implement already wonking increacing performance features into the game would be the best solution I think

I dont think building like that should be possible personally.

Theres nothing I cant stand more in a game than the immersion shattering of players being able to build giant wooden and metal monstrosities of bases. I would prefer to see more building material types than giant unsightly buildings that tower over the trees and quite honestly, would likely fall down irl on a windy day.

"best on the market" is never average, by definition the average is between the best and the worst OR it's the majority of the total.

which is why i separated it into the 2 questions to get clarification if they mean the steam median or just top end hardware as to the reason why we cant run UE5.

Nanite system looks impressive but we will have to wait till the next year or even later to see that in SCUM. AMD's FidelityFX will be released this month and it will work on even on NVIDIA cards. Let's hope the devs will implement it relatively soon since it should bring noticeable performance improvement.

Ahh my mistake...it looks an awful lot like one question. Maybe try phrasing it as two questions in the future.

UE5 is still in BETA and the version that got released is just there to get people familiar with it and to start learning for future game development in that engine. It will take some time for it to catch up and become the new standard.

do you guys got any plans to re add the DLSS in some form? since the TAA is very bad forced on with the blur and weird ghosting.
