Thanks xKiCkx, I'll try for the hightlight.
For dropping around lockpickers or taking into hands screwdrivers, that's what I do now.
I really think that we should have an option inside the mini game. Maybe a suggestion for the future, when UI will be updated.
So will keep doing as usual, drop items that I don't want to use before starting lockpicking.
Be aware that you will still pick up items from vicinity that are being used for lockpicking.
Like if I have both soft pins and advanced in my inventory, and I see a iron lock, I want to be able to click select soft pins and use only those until I'm out, or click "advanced".
Thats what xKiCkx just suggested, you can put the lockpicks you dont wanna use in a backpack and if its on the floor it wont use the backpack inventory. If you drop the picks on the ground it will use those. so keep the picks on you or on the ground that you wanna use and then just drop the bag you got with the picks you dont wanna use. Once those are used up just put your bag on and done
Yes, thats what he said, and what I have done ever since they made them work differently. However, thats NOT what I suggested. I suggested that you can choose what tools you use in the minigame, to make it easier - not by excessively micromanaging - to have control over what tools you use. Simple, easy and intuitive.
Agree. It would be very nice to be able to interactively choose what picks (and screwdrivers) you want to use from whatever is in your inventory, while in the initial lockpicking minigame screen. Without having to juggle crap and toss packs around first.
+1 same idea.
Lockpicking It's always a delicade and dangerous situation that should be done in the smallest amount of time. So setting the tool (and I'd say that LP should stop when that tool is consumed) in the minigame interface could help a lot.
Maybe this should move into Suggestions
