Can you raise your intelligence?
I just found out the hard way that your engineering is capped after all the work I put into getting the skill to advanced. Is the only way to start over with a new one? or can I boost other skills in the INT category to achieve advanced crafting?

The level of your INT determines how high you can raise the skills under it. (It's the same for all of the other attributes and their skills as well). Once that limit is reached that's it. To get it any higher you will need to make a new character. The other attributes can be raised and lowered depending on how you play and treat your character, but not INT. Eventually they say there will be ways to raise the INT level, but that's not in yet.

In future idea is ti raise intelligence by reading the books.

Interested in this as well. Latest character I took 4.8 int instead of 5 to get a few extra points in another stat. With a server limit of 12 for squad, I figured and could live with what I thought would be 11/12 or 10/12 at most. Pretty horrified to see 8/12 with 4.8 int. Yuk.

In the real world I don't know how possible it is to raise a person's intelligence. Education, however, can be increased with effort. People have a tendency to confuse the two because an intelligent person can more easily obtain education.

How to raise person intelligence was rhetorical or real question?
