Well maybe that is the case but there needs to be a balance in the game, you would just keep the screwdrivers forever without spending them and what then? Need for them would drop to 0 all that you would need is some lockpicks and you can perform lockpicking on anything. It's the thing about balancing.
The screwdrivers have charges man. You get the number of attempts equal to the number of charges. For red SDs that is 1-3 and for yellow it's 1-40.
But I do not have much faith that this won't change though cause it was some one's idea in design and haven forbid to have that change. Que the white knights responses.
I wonder if you consider anyone who doesnt agree with your views, as a so called "white knight"? Might as well not even try to debate.
For the lockers in the wild, you can open them by use of crowbar, you don't need to lockpick them, part, where lockpicking is a must, is kill box and lockpicking locks on other players doors and you will find that it's much more different that the lockers, on lockers you have a lot of time to perform the lockpicking and much more attempts.
