Motorcycle behavior
Been riding a hell bike for a while now, I think the base speed (with zero pts in motorcycle skill) should be a little faster than the base speed of the ATV, but i can live with it. Thing that annoys me about their handling is that they stop almost instantly, with no braking. ATV will roll quite a ways with a no-brake stop, but the motorcycle stops very quickly. Not good. You want to slow down to look behind you to see where the puppets are, and you stop so fast its guaranteed they'll be on you in no time. Hate that. They don't start up very fast from a dead stop, either. Should be able to pop a wheelie with that thing, when you start up... not putt-putt up to speed like it was a volkswagen.

Agreed.

Also the sound is off.

Yeah, when you kickstart a motorcycle, there should be a nice revving noise after it starts up. There is nothing. Just kick, kick, then a smooth purr you can barely hear.

maybe they modelled it off an electric bike instead of a motorbike, my honda wave is quick off the mark, sounds like a motorbike, and i can control the slowing down / braking with ease.

Not too many electric offroad motoX dirtbikes, methinks. Besides, it's an obvious piston engine.

Please, please, please fix this. Give the motorcycle the proper sound it deserves. It is all over the place now.

The hitbox lets say underneath the bike seems quite low to me, bumps into stairs not even touching the frame. Maybe add some bags to it with small inventory. and most definitely, do not go down a steep hill with a bike it'll throw you off for sure

We need a proper 2 Stroke sound :D

I have been testing the motorcycle and I have noticed it very slow. I guess it has to do with exp.
If this is so, it does not make much sense not to go over 45 km / h, for not having exp. The motorcycle should always reach its maximum speed. Falling off the motorcycle taking curves or jumping would be normal because you do not have exp.
Under my humble opinion. I have been riding motorcycles since I was 16 years old. I've always been able to go full throttle. Another thing is that I came home in one piece.
Anyway, thanks are due to the developers for continuing to expand and improve this game.
Greetings from one who lives in the Mediterranean.
Sorry for my English ...

Am I the only one that constantly gets on the backseat of the motorbike when trying to drive it? Pretty sure the interact button is way off, every time I try to hop on the other stupid button pops up instead and it's super annoying, especially if you happen to be in a dangerous situation.

the bikes are not a great addition to the game, if you were able to transfer your weight to the back or the front it would be awesome so we could do actual jumps etc and wheelstands. these bikes are a polished version of the worst motorbike in a survival game ever the disgusting bike on Empyrion Galactic survival

They may not be the greatest bikes in a game ever, but hopefully they will improve as time goes on. First edition, and all that. Meanwhile, now that i'm getting used to steering them, i'm having a blast. Can go almost literally anywhere offroad, at good speed, and their turning radius is very good. Not used to that. Nice to corner without having to slow down.

+1

The physics can get better for sure, but it is absolutely a great addition to the game.

There's no doubt they will iterate improvements just like they have been with everything else in the game.

I know they take constructive and useful discourse to heart, so this is a perfect thread so far to go over such iterations.

Another thing- the mad max dirt bike has saddle bags and a rifle holster. Would be sweet to see them become functional.

As an avid biker (600ccs are my jam), I would like to see a lot of physics improvements, as well as animations for "stepping off" your bike aka crash/sliding. I know that will be super difficult, but here's to them going to that level.

At some point, aftermarket adjustments/parts as well as repairs/maintenance would be sweet.

The saddlebags on the hell bike do have inventory space. Not quite as much as the ATV, but nice.

One thing with the bikes that i've noticed, sometimes when you leave them parked for a while, they will start to levitate and move around. Parked one outside my cabin and after a few hours, it was like 6 feet off the ground, hovering in the air, and had drifted maybe 70 feet from where it was originally parked. Once they levitate like that, you can't mount up again until you 'push' it, then it will fly through the air for a long ways in some random direction and falls on its side. When you try to click 'drive' on it then, your char will act as if they're mounting up, but the bike will slide away a ways and slowly right itself. Then you have to go to where it finally sorted its sh*t out, then you can mount up and start it. Flakey arse sh*t, that.
