Furthermore the handguard leaves a lot to be desired and if anyone thinks a medievil european sword can´t be as sharp as a katana then he should stop watching movies and get his hands on some real swords.
I have a replica of a 9th century viking sword and this thing is freaking scary and sharp as hell, you can flex it as much as you want it will always go back and it cuts like crazy, which is why I know how good those swords are.
Plz devs make the swords on par for the sake of credibility and realism, Katanas are really not those wonderswords hollywood made people believe.
In my opinion, the best, most efficient way to deal with puppets is with bows or x-bows. There are a lot of tricks that can be used here to ensure dealing with any amount of puppets quite easily and without making any noise other than the puppet death sounds.
Since the european sword is designed to break bones through armor and pierce armored targets it should cause more damage to armored targets and cause sever damage to limbs and organs depending if you smash or pierce the target.
While the katana is designed against unarmored targets and causes sever cutting damage when you slice a target.
Oh boy, here we go. This age old debate can go anywhere as there are many angles to this and mostly are opinions while other facts only work in a 'perfect scenario'. Its true about Hollywood but they do that to nearly everything including your preferred European swords so that's kinda moot.
These these swords are dangerous but to claim one is better then the other is a pointless endeavor.
Okay Sword-man.
