Arrow quality
Hello there!

I have a few questions concerning arrows:

Is there a significant difference between the different types of arrows (normal, feathered, stone tip, carbon etc)? Range, damage, accuracy? I get the feeling that it doesn't matter which arrows I use, puppets need 2 arrows to kill (thin ones only 1).

Plus, does the durability of the arrow matter? For example if I use arrows of 30% or even less durability? I suppose there is probably not going to be a misfire or weapon jam chance here. :D

Yes, there are differences between the individual arrows. Wooden arrows without feathers, for example, have a very poor range and not a lot of damage. Carbon broadhead arrows, on the other hand, fly pretty well and you can still hit pretty well at a hundred meters. This works with wooden arrows, but the carbon arrows are simply better in the end.

No, poor quality arrows will not malfunction. But they don't last that long either. If you shoot an arrow with poor durability it will lose%, in the worst case it will break when the quality reaches 0%.

Thanks for the answers! Really wondering why they haven't hired you yet, Deathwhisper. :D

Another question, concerning Strength and the different types of bows:
I currently have a strength of 3.1 and I am using the 70 pound Predator bow. The only difference i could see between this one and the selfmade 35 pounds was how long I could hold the arrow in a pulled back position (and the longer range of course).
Can you tell me how higher Strength and the stronger bows fit together? Do I need a specific Strength rating to operate the 100 pound bow for example? Or is it just about how long I can hold the arrow in the pulled back position?

I'll try to explain this using my attributes. :)

I have strength 1
Archery on 1 and can use the # 40.

If I do archery at 2 level, I can even use the # 50, which I cannot do well with core attribute and skill at 1.

the numbers behind the arches stand for the tensile strength of the arch. A # 15 honestly doesn't have any real traction. He can shoot, but it is neither far nor does the bow do much harm. With a # 40 e.g. that looks different, it's a pretty deadly device, even with my values. Better would be the # 50 and so on.

If I don't confuse that, you can use strength to stretch the bow and hold it well, the skill also improves this effect and gives you more options with the arches.

Thanks again! I understand what the numbers mean, I have quite some experience with bows myself in real life. All I was wondering if there is, like, a required Strength value to use the heaviest bow currently in the game (which I believe is the 100 pound one?).

I'll just hope I find a compound bow soon-ish. But I play on a 50% loot server so I was quite happy that I found the 70# one. :D

The # 100 Ballista is great, but the # 70 is also a loyal companion.

But the Compound bow beats them all, as you can adjust the strength level here. I keep my fingers crossed that you can find one of the two! :D

(I'm a sports archer for bows myself)

Edit: Fired Translator, Hired a New one for the Proper Bow Name XD

If that were true you would know the difference between a composite bow and a compound bow. There is no composite bow ingame, only a compound bow.
