Scissors or knives for clothes? Just give it a try and see the results. You should Try out what tool have the best effect but it can make a difference.

If a Arrow is Stuck in a Puppet or opponent, kick against it to turn it around. This may take a while but after doing so, you can easyly get your Arrow back.

At the moment no matter what tool you use to cut up meat the end result will always be the same. :)

Like above said.
I watched the old video that use a cleaver on animal body part. I did and it yield the same as cutting it with axe.

I'm fine with this, but I wish the game would not try to use my sword to cut up a shirt when I've got a knife and scissors also on me.

Like can we default to non-equiped items if they are available? That would be pretty nice.

Nasty coincidence, but it really throws me away every time. I ought to maybe do less at once. xD

+1

This can’t be that difficult or time consuming to program. Assign each bladed device a cutting index.

Scissors = 1
Knives = 2
.
.
Axes, swords = 5
Etc.

Cutting up clothing for rags? Check inventory for items in order of index.

Same with lockpicking. Opening a 10 second server lock?

Check inventory for and use in this order:
1. Crafted lock pick
2. Regular
3. Advanced

I swear there was a way around this before a few updates ago. Like if your knife was in the top of your backpack and your saw/sword/etc was down below, it would prioritize whatever was closer to the top of your inventory. Though maybe I’m just making this up……but I’ve been getting quite frustrated when I’m trying to cut a bush and it keeps pulling out the nice, more rare knife that I have.

So far you can take the tool with what you want to work in your Hands first before starting to work. If i want to cut down the Bushes i take the Saw into my hands, so i do not need to use the Knive.

Same. I just hotkey my "tool" to switch to so I don't waste my sword durability.

It would be cool for there to be inherent benefits to using the right tools for proper jobs.

It would also be cool to see the cooking skill tie into that as well. Well trained chefs are 100% on butchering animals.

I guess different tools or blades dont yield increased meat like they used to at some point?

In any case, for the OP trying to recover his arrows, have you tried kicking the puppets corpses over? Usualy with a stuck arrow or bolt, if you kick the puppet around you ammo will appear in vicinity and you'll be able to recover it. I find it faster to kick them around than to cut them to pieces each time.

Also, not sure if I'm the only one in this situation but, I'd be using bows alot more if it didnt mess with your field of view everytime you nock an arrow. I set my field of view to what I like in 3rd person; Im okay with it zooming in with Right-mouse-button as i'm about to take the shot, but forcing me to an in-between different FOV just for having an arrow on the bow is annoying!

Empty your hands and attempt to hit them. Since they are on the ground the game will default to kicking them. It's hit or miss, but it works.

Or you could just take the item you want to use in your hands and it will automatically use them.
