Report a translation problem
On this score, it's kind of worth noting that a youtuber demonstrated it takes about 1/2 hour to walk a sector, with jogging being about twice that, and full running - depleting stamina - about twice even that, 20 min. puts you right on the edge of despawn if you respawn two or more sectors away from your body, and that's assuming you're not delayed by puppets, attacking animals or players, or terrain. (I'm not suggested it be 45 min or anything, perhaps 25-30, or a variable that can be controlled by server admins or the player in SP)
If you choose a sector spawn you can be back at your body in about 7-10 minutes. That includes making a knife, then a spear to defend yourself with. (I have to do this far more than I'd like, to be honest.) The current time is fine for vanilla (just imho), but I can see a server setting.

A player can easily reach their dead body and gear unless you have really bad luck
The whole point of survival is "stay alive." But I get it, they need to try and please everyone and that's not easy. Still early in development too.
I've run from adjacent sectors back to my body and haven't had this happen. Not saying it didn't happen, just pointing out that that's not the norm. Did you happen to try logging to the menu and back in to see if the body respawned? Sometimes the 'cleanup routine' glitches.
Would be curious to hear from a dev what the diameter is of this area around a player.
There is no direct setting option for this in the server settings.
