Airdrop Blast Radius
Does anyone know roughly what the effective lethal blast radius is for airdrop containers??
Écrit par Bunny:
The max radius of the explosion is 60 meters. Maximum damage is applied in a 5 meter radius and it slowly drops off the further away you are from the drop. Additionally - the blast will erase all items in a 5 meter radius around the cargo drop.

Pretty big, I was killed by one from well over 50m away.

To find the exact radius, walk away from one until you get to a spot where you think, "it couldn't possibly kill me from here"... then add 10m.
Around 50 meters indeed.

/me think if it would ever be possible to "hijack" the drops onto precise targets.... >:-)
So the circular error probability is quite high indeed, and I found out the hard way about that 5M "confidence region" of the blast, after it effectively vaporized all the cool loot I had neatly stacked up some distance from the container :steamsad: .
It will annihilate both you and your vehicle out to 40 yds or so. Don't ask me how i know this.

This is from the last patch? Cause I died a couple of times there but my belongings never disappear with the blast.

The blast still vaporizes items left too close to the container. I laid out some stuff and tested it.
it never destroyed the toolboxes I left outside the door when it exploded
Interesting. I wonder if toolboxes are somehow immune to the blast? Just to be clear I'm in SP, and I'm assuming that containers behave similarly in multi...
LOL.... Just found this out the hard way!!!

Lost Everything, I've not played in agesssss and thought i'd give it a go again, got a nice air drop and thought wow, happy days some decent loot in here, its looking up!!!

Ow how wrong was i, it started beeping then i though hell, get outta here its gonna blow hid behind a tree.....

Lets just say the tree didn't save me ahahahahahahahaha. Lost everything. Ow well XD
lol @ essieboy! Been there done that...
Wished to find out about trees myself, but the buildings work as cover: drop was 20 meters near the barn, been inside - got no harm.

I'm curious, when it starts to beep - it open all the locks. So, for example, you're inside, ready, it starts beeping, you open 2 lockers, grab everything asap and run - is it possible to make a safe distance in time in a flat open ground?

Timer lasts 30 seconds. Takes a few seconds to search/open each of the six lockers, plus fiddly time to click on and grab anything you might want- the more you want, the more likely you'll die. I wouldn't try opening more than one or two lockers at most, before running like hell.

One locker and then run, that would be my advice :)
