since latest patch its impossible to lockpick

since the patch yesterday 12/21/2020 its incredibly impossible to lock pick you go through like 50 lockpicks and still nothing whats the deal there? am i doing something wrong now. it just constantly fails when you try to do it at all? is this supposed to be this way or what the heck.. how the heck are you supposed to play this way?

Are you wearing gloves? Take them off. Check patch notes to see how gloves affect lock picking now.

ok i saw that whats pressure actually mean is pressure bad then? and what is dude talking about steam level 0.. im 9 dudeski if that matters at all?

Yes, pressure is bad. There's a chance that you'll break the lockpick if you are pushing it too hard. They made the gloves add more pressure to simulate the fact that you would be less able to tell how much you were applying when wearing them.

According to the patch notes the fingerless gloves don't add any, but they don't help with anything either, so you may as well just take them off.

Just take them off unless you tryin to lock pick a players door , you’ll want to wear the bear gloves for that one

Fingerless gloves do not work as advertised in patch notes, you have to remove all gloves to lockpick.

I checked, reported it as a bug, and the dev confirmed, take off gloves, if you could lockpick before the patch you will be able to lockpick again :)

So I noticed this today, cant lock pick drop locker or the practise board at all go thro mulitple booby pin lockpicks. Picks just break. But can pick lockers in Police station.???? ?. Came searching for solution and found this.

Ok. Stupid but Mmmm, takes off gloves and....

Still breaking picks on basic locks.
1100+ hrs in this game.....

What is your skill level, are you wearing any kind of gloves, what lockers are you trying to lockpick and where ?

Yep I'm having the same problem, I thought it was just me, cannot pick any of the supply drops or the lock pick board????? with or without gloves i'll have to nip into town to try the police station.

I have tried

police station lockers: 1 screwdriver successful try
weapon locker on cargo: 1-3 screwdriver successful try
lockpick board basic: 1-10 screwdriver successful try

Seems to be normal. I'm using no skill thievery character without gloves.

I think you guys were just not that good to begin with ;)

It's a little harder now but our squad's lock picker still gets us into golds.

Lockpicking on this game is plain terrible... feels way too unrealistic to me...
