Just thinking the same thing. Glad you guys found a fix for anyone who doesn't like the fog but that will turn into an exploit if there are still foggy periods implemented after the next patch.
Sorry for being slow to answer, mate. Was way off in Scum land here
Yeah, it works a treat. A bit weird, though, to have more of a haze near you and nothing at all far away :)
But, it's playable.
I did the "sg.ShadowQuality.ini" only.
What I saw here was. it's almost no difference between settings 0 and 1. And also very little between 2 and 3, but quite a lot of difference between 1 and 2.
So, I was playing on 2 for a while. Until I came back to base and that weird thing happend inside my little building. Then I changed the setting from 2 to 1, and the double exposure disappeared.
I'll set the sg.ShadowQuality back to 3 again and see if I can make a decent screenshot. It's very easy to see when I move the caracter but not sure when the caracter isn't moving.
Hang on, I'll give it a shot.
Maybe the puppets got to him while I was out....
I tried to change the angle of the sun also, with # settime, but no luck.
I'll try to remember to take a screenshot next time I see it.
But now, staring the game with "sg.ShadowQuality=3" I saw it is actually quite a bit of difference between 2 and 3.
On "sg.ShadowQuality=2" it's more of a heavy mist, not foggy at all. But still, between 0 and 1 its still very little difference.
On 2 though, it looks weird with all the mist near you and all clear way off in the distance :) But, I can live with that for the time being.
But, I did notice another thing.
When f.ex. pressing T and opening that window, and typing in something wrong, you can't use backspace to erase more than one letter or space. Then the backspace does nothing and you have to use the arrow keys to move the cursor behind the letter you want to erase and use "Delete".
I think maybe the chat might have become bugged.
Also, in that window, the keys for M for map and other funktion keys still works as funtion keys, and not, or not only for typing.
Same thing if you try to rename f.ex. a box, or a storage unit that you ave built. When trying to type in something with a M, the map comes up and closes the box you are trying to type in.. Can be a real pain in the butt if you try to type something like, "meat storage". As soon as you hit the M, the map comes up.
But I'm sure the devs are on top of that too :)
That exploit will be delt with, believe me :)
Remove it yourself, mate :) It's easy.
Lol yes i found it just now.
Wish i found it earlier.

Feliz Halloween a todos, fiquem seguros e joguem Scum!

Sorry about the yesterday's mess, it should have been fixed with the today's patch.
Don't forget the fog is here for a test, we will return things back to normal soon.
It was a long day, I'm off to get some drinks and relax.
Happy Halloween everyone, stay safe and play Scum!
You're in a TV show and the enviroment can be manipulated anytime so as for the weather.
I actually like the changing weather conditions and having fog as well just makes a lot of sense.
Only thing that does not work for me personaly is how the fog currently behaves in this game. It would need more layers of density and movement to really make that sense of immersion the Devs were probably looking for imo.
That worked really well for miscreated...................
