Chest dragging to be removed?
Is it true that chest dragging is going to be removed? I know you are adding wheelbarrows but dragging chests around is a massive part of the game at present, especially when you can add chests to cars. If you do remove chest dragging, please, at least make it possible to pick up single chest at a time and walk with them.

+1.
Removing chest dragging sounds like a horrible idea. One of the main weakpoints of the game is that it already starts feeling like a RSI inducing logistics simulator, where moving ♥♥♥♥ around takes far longer than it should. Chest dragging is one of the few features that keeps the game bearable.

Maybe inventory management options / icons for "quick stack" etc - but putting things in bags and then in a car is a neat storage solution, and i gather chests in cars works too much better.
If its not meant to be like that however at least give us warning to empty the things first :/

I really don't see the point in doing that? I mean you can move chests in real life if you want
maybe they could get "nerfed" so that you couldn't move them when they are full or something like that. I hope they stay the same.

Who said that?

Maybe they could tie it to total weight of chest plus contents vs your character's strength? And even then, let you empty out enough of the chest to move it based on your strength.

If true this would be a nice balance for people who fortify houses. At the moment you can't build the immovable wardrobes in map buildings.

Thanks for your reply Bunny. How can chests be moved to the vehicle in the first place if vicinity dragging is disabled? Are we able to actually pick them up?

Items can still be dragged to / from a container, but not from vicinity to another vicinity space ( hard to explain, but you will be able to see it for yourself soon ) :)

Wondering about this too. How do you get a chest from inside your car back inside to your base cabin? Or are we simply going to have to run back and forth 500 times, between car+ chest inventory to drop it off inside our base cabins? Or - will the wheelbarrow replace everything in this case? How about even getting the damn candles etc to be actually placed on your table and not by your feet when you drop it from inventory ...etc etc etc ;P

There's both good and bad things removing this feature.

Hmmm on paper that sounds like a terrible idea but I guess we'll see!

You should be able to take backpacks in hand though. Doesn't make sense per se, for reality when, you can't even pick one up and carry it with your hands.

It something they should had removing way erlier. This made people build big bases in minutes! Also, it isnt meant like that. Its unrelistic to use like a "jedi force" to move large objects from the vicinity, or put that inside a metal chest and then use that. it just make no sense at all! Now, of course many people will whine, because they cant build castles so quick anymore.
